The annual “Below The Belt” gala aims to knock out women’s pelvic health issues, empower women and engage them in important health issues, all while enjoying a special evening of music and entertainment.
The Women’s Health Foundation annual “Below The Belt” Gala will feature a private performance by Multi-Grammy Award Winner Alison Krauss. The intimate yet prestigious night of events will take place on Thursday, June 7th from 6 – 10 pm at the Ravenswood Event Center. Past performers and supporters include Jewel, Lisa Loeb and The Indigo Girls. Past events have sold out and the event brings some of the city’s most influential people for networking, mingling and fun.
The evening will also be highlighted by a high-energy dance party with Chicago’sown Black Betty band as well as cocktails, appetizers and dessert. Additionally, a auction will give attendees the opportunity to place bids on celebrity memorabilia, vacation packages, and other noteworthy packages. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit WHF. During the program, WHF will award one deserving healthcare provider the Medical Activist Award and one patient the Passion Award, which recognizes a pelvic floor champion, a woman willing to inspire others with her story of healing. Nominations are now open and being accepted for the WHF Passion Award through www.belowthebeltgala.org.
