Division Street’s artisanal, multi-roaster coffee shop, Caffe Streets, seeks to provide a diverse array of customers with its high quality, personalized coffee experience. There’s no better time to stop by and take it all in than in January, when they are featuring a bunch of specialty drinks, including a hot drinking chocolate with a homemade marshmallow, a homemade peppermint latte, a homemade gingerbread latte (with fresh ginger, cinnamon, cloves and peppercorn), and a house chider (a combo of 100% natural cider and our homemade chai). Division Street’s farm-to-table go-to is kicking off the New Year by honoring its Wicker Park neighbors. Throughout the month of January, all residents with a 60622 zip code will get 22% off their bill (at Prasino Wicker Park only). The deal is available from open until 4pm Mon-Fri; and residents must show proof of residency. If that’s not enough, Prasino Wicker Park is also offering Complimentary Aperitivos Mon-Fri (no residency proof necessary) available in the bar 4:00pm – 8:00 pm with purchase of wine, beer, or a cocktail.

Wicker Park’s urban roadhouse, Moonshine, is an official Michigan State bar. So naturally it’ll be home base for the 100th Annual Rose Bowl, January 1st. Watch the Spartans take on the Stanford Cardinals on wall-to-wall high definition big screens and Moonshine’s state-of-the-art sound system. Meet certified cicerone Rick Wildt from Chicago’s Goose Island Brewing Company and try hard-to-find beers including Big John Imperial Stout, which is brewed with cacao nibs; 2012 and 2013 bourbon barrel-aged Bourbon County Imperial Stout, and Kisetsu, an experimental Sake Saison brewed with Koju and Sake yeast to produce a hybrid beer (part of the brewery’s Fulton and Wood Limited Release Draft Series). Draft prices range from $8-$12. Resident DJs spin during the event (no cover) and the bar offers special beer-spiked specials from 4 p.m.-midnight.

Join SmallBar Division in the long dark month of January as they partner up with one of their favorite local breweries for a low maintenance “Food Flight” beer dinner. Enjoy a flight of four beers from Tim Marshall and the Solemn Oath gang paired with small plates from Chef Justin White. The pairings will be presented in a “food flight” format. No hard start time. Food and beer will be presented together at one time for one fixed price. Enjoy it at your own pace. No speeches from chefs or brewers. Available all night until they sell out.
