Celebrate the “Canniversary” of Canned Beer

Friday, January 24
11 a.m. to 12 a.m

On January 24, 1935, the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company became the first brewer to sell canned beer in the United States. Competitors soon followed suit, and by the end of that same year, over 200 million cans had been produced and sold. On Friday, January 24, loop located tavern, Franklin Tap, will pay homage to the anniversary of canned beer with a “Canniversary” party from 11 a.m. to midnight. In celebration of Beer Can Appreciation Day, Franklin Tap’s list of 20 different canned brews (outlined below) will be offered for $6 each.
