Vanille Patisserie, located at 2108 N. Clark Street, will hold a “Bunny Toy Drive” for charity on Saturday, April 12. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal or toy for children of all ages, from babies to teens. All donations will benefit Rosie’s Toy Box, an affiliated organization of Lurie Children’s Hospital. The Easter Bunny will meet and mingle from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those who donate a new toy will receive either a 15% discount on any purchase at Vanille (including Easter pre-orders) or two complimentary macarons. The “Wish List” for Rosie’s Toy Box toy drive is outlined below.

All items must be new due to infectious disease control standards for the safety and well being of all hospitalized children
Items for Kids

  • New stuffed animals for Easter (tags must be on it)
  • Glitter Glue Sticks
  • Play-Doh Brand play dough and Play-Doh kits
  • Books for all ages about arts & crafts–fun things to make and do
  • Duct tape (fun colors or patterns) for making crafts/sculptures
  • Arts & crafts kits (smaller–for individuals)
  • Mega-blocks for creative building
  • Crayola crayons (8-12 pack boxes)
  • Small craft kits for individuals to do
  • Craft items (must be a new, un-opened package): googly eyes, feathers, buttons, pom-poms
  • Lego kits for all ages–for creative building and using imagination
  • Holiday coloring books
  • Bead sets (younger and older)

Items for Teens

  • Lego sets for up to 16 years
  • Journals for creative writing
  • Crafts sets for ages 15-21
  • Sketch books with drawing pencils
  • Photography magazines
  • Disposable cameras
